• Ylang Ylang Vine (Artabotrys hexapetalus)

There is only 1 item left in stock.

This listing is for ONE (1) Ylang-Ylang VINE (Artabotrys hexapetalus) Live 10"+ SEEDLING VINE grown in our Haiku, Maui Garden.  This plant is about 1 year old.  Add this easy to grow exotic plant to your collection.  Ylang Ylang flowers are famous for their exotic perfume like scent.

Please plan on keeping this plant 75-85 degrees at all times.   Grow your seedling in a container of good quality good potting soil (Miracle gro for example).  This plant is a vine and once the plant is allowed to grow/get established in the garden, it will take off and grow a lot faster.  We suggest keeping your seedling in a container of good potting soil as soon as it arrives, let it grow a bigger/healthy root system before planting directly in your garden soil.  PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR SEEDLING DIRECTLY IN THE SUN WHEN IT ARRIVES.  IT WILL NEED A FEW DAYS OR WEEKS TO ADJUST to 100% Sunlight, BRIGHT LIGHT (indirect) IN A WARM LOCATION IS BEST NOT TO SHOCK YOUR LIVE PLANTS.  Keep watered evenly and slowly acclimate your plant to it's new situation.

Many people say that Ylang-Ylang flowers have the same scent as 'Juicy Fruit' brand gum, sort of a 'tutti-frutti' scent.  It does smell similar to that brand of gum, only much better, like a sweet deeply complex perfume.   The seeds found inside each of the small yellow fruits are shown.  The little bit of pulp found in the ripe fruit is actually edible, tastes like a sugarless mango.  The bulk of the fruit is two large seeds, about the size of an almond.

All live plants ordera ship Mondays.  Please only order this live plant shipped to a warm enough location.  We also offer Ylang Ylang Vine SEEDS if it is too cold where you are to have a plant shipped to you.

Listing price includes shipping and Hawaii State Agricultural Inspection.
